Up Pollination Extracting Package Bee's Queens

We provide quality Italian or Carnolian package and queens bee's from Can-Am Apiaries in northern California. Linda and Leonard Pankratz are the owners of Can-Am and have provided packages to us for over eleven  years. Package bee day is special to Tate's Honey Farm as it signals the beginning of the bee season for many beekeepers and it is a special time for us as a family as my brother Cliff, his wife Joanne, and my niece the beekeeper Ashley come and help with the very busy day. So package bee day is a family affair.

We also provide quality bee's for pollination of your fruit, berries, and gardens. We have been pollinating Greenbluff and the surrounding area since 1974. We know every gate and dirt road on Greenbluff.

Package Bee's
Package bee's will be delivered on April 12, 2008. Our last day to accept orders for this year will be April 5, 2008. See the package bee link for 2008 pricing. Packages include one 3# of bees with an 07 marked Queen. Please remember to bring back all your empty cages so we can return them to the bee breeder for use next year. If we don't return the packages we will have to start charging a fee for the package container.

Queens
This year marked queens will be available starting April 12th until the end of August. The queens will be marked and are Italians or Carnolians. We keep the queens on a queen bank which is the first hive in the photo and is specially setup to keep our queens healthy for you. They are never there for long.

Pollination
We move our bee's to California to pollinate the Almonds then bring them back to Spokane to pollinate local growers fruit tree's and berries. Our links page provides a link to one of the best books on pollination of fruits and berries. Visit the Tucson Bee Lab and read up on your fruit tree's. The Oregon State University site also has interesting information on pollination. Pollination fee's this year for the Spokane area will be $35.00 per colony, per set.

Extracting Services
We are providing a list of beekeepers who have agreed to do commercial extracting services.  Be sure and contact them early and reserve a time.
